The origins of Rouleete can be traced back to more than 1,000 years ago. It comes from French, ‘Roule’ being the British translation. It is a central French town that is deeply embedded in the region of Bourgogne. However, it is not the only or the last town in this type of geographically identifiable region that is most well-known to history as Rouleete. Although this town isn’t the only one in this kind of geographically designated area that is so clearly recognizable to history as Rouleete however, it is certainly the most significant and, consequently, the most well-known.

The history of Rouleete can be traced back to the middle age, when the area was populated by Carlin, a prominent courtier and writer who were married to an affluent family. While he was working to provide for his family, he often traveled through the vast territory of Bourgogne, a region which included Rouleete and the adjacent territories. It is likely, then, that he was in contact with the French language and, as a result made some of the words that are synonymous with Rouleete for the city of today. This “foreign” influence could eventually result in the creation of phrases that would be identical to Rouleete in the present day.

As mentioned above One of the most well-known expressions that describes Rouleete can be heard in a well-known song that pays tribute to the town. Jean Sibelius wrote the song “Roustoles” that describes a number of the sights activities, sounds, and sights that are found in the region. The “little city on the hill” is Rouleete’s most famous cannon. It is evident in the lyrics. The cannes are described as being situated on the top of a hill, and they have cobbled streets leading to their entrance. They have earned the nickname “Capon de Cannes”. Although it isn’t known which the origins of this nickname was however, many people still associate the canne to this area.

Legend is that Rouleete was founded by Labard, an individual who gave Mathieu a gift that would bring him happiness. When the daughter returned home, she placed the gift under the tree, but before she could even pick it, her husband, Simon de Rouleete, came to take the blame. When he learned that the gift was stolen, Mathieu retrieved a knife from his bag and cut off the top of the knife which was engraved with the husband’s name. In anger, Simon de Rouleete went into exile. According to legend, the knife that caused the breakup between the couple could only be cut once with a large knife. The legend also states that the cutting of the knife symbolized the division of love in Rouleete.

Today, the Rouleete Board of Directors tries to dispel negative impressions of the town by building a number of monuments to celebrate its history. These are not the only ones that are displayed throughout the city. There are numerous billboards and displays that provide information about the history and rules of roulette betting. The most famous of these is an 8-foot tall billboard that is located on Haut Marais Avenue that features the names of several of the original players of roulette, as well as the odds and payouts for every game.
