NEW YORK – Sep. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — The Israel Ministry of Tourism today unveiled new records for arrivals of tourists in Israel from the United States in July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 Americans during July 2022. It was a four percent increase over the year before seven thousand tourists from America were in Israel during August 2022.

“It is thrilling to see yet another increase in tourism to Israel from the United States, already reaching the record-breaking levels in 2019.” stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. “The United States is our top market for Israel’s inbound tourism. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had record-breaking numbers of Israeli tourists entering Israel each month. We are extremely happy to have witnessed an improvement in the trend, and we expect it to continue for a long time.”

Canada is set to surpass Israel’s tourist arrivals by attracting 7,200 tourists to Israel in July 2022, and 6,600 tourists in August.

We’re close to reaching our record-setting numbers for the year 2019 and we expect that this growth in travel to Israel will continue to increase as Canadians feel more at home in Israel.

Israel has hosted more than 4.6million visitors in the year 2019 of which 969,600 originated from the United States. Since May, when the country is now open to all tourists, regardless of their vaccination status More than 600,000.400 US visitors have visited Israel.
