The Kerem Tunnel allows for a unique hiking and riding experience.

The Kerem Tunnel, Israel’s first bicycle tunnel, was opened as part of the Jerusalem Ring Path. This 42-kilometer cycle route is located around Jerusalem.

The tunnel links Nahal Refaim with Emek Motza. נווה פריצקי The southern entrance is located in Refaim Park, below Ein Laban and its northern entrance is in Nahal Ein Kerem, about one kilometer away close to the Kerem junction.

Inauguration of the tunnel which measures 2.1 kilometers long took place in Jerusalem and Heritage Minister Ze’ev Elkin Mayor Moshelion, Avi Baleshnikov (Gihon water company chairman of the company) along with hundreds of cyclists.

The Kerem Tunnel also allows access to unique recreation sites which include the Ein Kerem neighborhood, the biblical zoo, aquarium and the and the historical natural springs of Ein Laban and Ein Haniyeh.
