NEW YORK – Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ – Today the Israel Ministry of Tourism revealed record-breaking numbers of travelers from the United States who visited Israel during the months of July and August. נווה פריצקי The country welcomed 78,000 Americans in July 2022. It was a four percent increase over 2019 seven thousand tourists from America visited Israel in August 2022.

Eyal Carlin from North America was the Tourism Commissioner. “The United States is our number one market for inbound tourism for Israel. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had record numbers of Israeli tourists entering Israel each month. We are so happy to see this positive change, and we expect it to continue throughout the months and years to come.”

Canada which isn’t too far from the United States of America, is poised to surpass its tourist arrivals to Israel. It reached 7,200 visitors in July 2022 and 6,000 in visitors in August.

Gal Hana (Consul and Director for Canada, Israel Ministry of Tourism) said that “it is exciting to see how Canada’s tourism to Israel is growing.” We are getting close to our record numbers for 2019, and we are anticipating that this surge in tourism to Israel will continue as Canadians are more comfortable at home in Israel.

Israel received more than 4.6 million international tourists in the year 2019 and this included 969.600 coming from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all tourists, no matter whether they have been vaccination-free. Israel has already hosted more than 600,000.
