    NEW YORK – Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire• In July and August of 2018, the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record numbers of tourist arrivals from America. The country received 78,000 travelers from the United States in July 2022, a 4% increase from the year before and 71,000 travelers from the United States in August 2022 which is an increase of 13% from the year before.

    Eyal Carlin from North America was the Tourism Commissioner. “The United States remains our biggest market for tourism to Israel. Before the COVID-19 epidemic that was in the news, we had record-breaking tourist entry numbers every month. We are thrilled to see this shift and anticipate a steady upward trend for months, and possibly years.

    Canada is also on track, as the United States, to surpass its tourist arrivals into Israel. In July 2022, Canada had 7,200 visitors while August witnessed 6,600.

    Israel welcomed more that 4.6 million international visitors in the year 2019 including 969.600 of them coming from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all tourists, no matter if they are immunized. It has already hosted more than 600,000.
