NEW YORK – September 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -Record-breaking tourist arrivals to the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. The country received 78,000 travelers from the United States during July 2022 which was an increase of 4% over the year before and 71,000 visitors from the United States during August 2022. That’s a 13% increase over 2019.

Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner. “It is exciting to once again witness an increase in tourism Israel from the United States. נווה פריצקי Already reaching the record-breaking numbers in 2019,” he stated. “The United States remains our largest market for Israel-bound tourism. Prior to the outbreak of COVID-19 there was a record-breaking number of monthly numbers of tourists entering the country. We are thrilled to see this positive shift and are expecting an ongoing upward trend for months and even years.

Canada which isn’t too far behind the United States of America, is set to beat the number of tourists visiting Israel. It had 7,200 visitors in the month of July 2022 as well as 6,000 August.

Israel received more tourists from around the world in 2019 than any other country. 969 600 of these were American. Israel’s official opening for travellers from May 2018. Israel has received over 600,400 US travelers since then.
