NEW YORK – September 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -Record-breaking tourist arrivals from the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. 78,000 visitors from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This is a 4 percentage increase over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% more than the number of visitors in 2019.

Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner of the United States. He said, “It’s so exciting to witness a further rise in tourism to Israel from America, which is already exceeding or even surpassing our record breaking numbers of 2019”. “The United States has been our most important destination for tourism to Israel that is inbound. Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak we were celebrating record numbers of Israel’s tourism entry each month.

Canada is on track to surpass Israel’s tourist arrivals by attracting 7,200 tourists to Israel in July 2022, and 6,600 in August.

Gal Hana (Consul and Director for Canada, Israel Ministry of Tourism) stated that “it is so exciting to watch how Canada’s tourist to Israel is rebounding.” נווה פריצקי “We aren’t too far from our record-setting numbers in 2019, and we are anticipating that the growth in the number of travelers to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians remain confident about traveling internationally.”

Israel welcomed more that 4.6 million international tourists in the year 2019 including 969.600 of them coming from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all visitors, regardless if they are immunized. Israel already has hosted more than 600,000 visitors.
