The Kerem Tunnel is a great location to go on a hike or ride.

The Kerem Tunnel is the first bicycle tunnel in Israel and was officially opened in the year 2000 as part the Jerusalem Ring Path, a 42-kilometer cycle path that runs around the capital.

The tunnel is a link between Nahal Refaim and Emek Motza. It has a southern entrance in Refaim Park. Ein Laban is the closest. Nahal Ein Kerem is the northern entrance.

The tunnel’s official opening ceremony, which is 2.1 kilometers long was held in Jerusalem and Heritage Minister Ze’ev Elkin, Mayor Moshelion and Avi Baleshnikov (Gihon water company chairman) and hundreds more cyclists.
