Pastor Chris The Man

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a child of faith, who was nurtured by a family of faith and supported by his parents. He is the oldest son born to the elder T.E Oyakhilome, one of the first pioneers of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City, and Angelina who is the mother of the Oyakhilome family, who imparted her faith in God’s grace upon her son from a young age.

The LoveWorld ministry is actively supported by all members of the family. Reverend Ken is Ken’s brother and an active member of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome started his education at Edo College. After a scholarship was granted to pursue a degree in architecture at Bendel State University (now Ambrose Ali University) and he received the BSc degree in Architecture as well as an honorary Doctor of Science. Additionally, he holds an honourary doctorate in divinity degree from Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was the campus where he felt God called him to be an ordained minister to the Lord.

When he was still in university, The Man of God established what would later become one of the largest churches around the world. He began a small prayer group called “Youth for Christ” which would later grow into the most popular group of its kind on campus. It was also the foundation for the future Christ Embassy and LoveWorld Incorporated with millions of followers around the world.

Pastor Chris led the LoveWorld ministry to become the pioneer of satellite TV and Christian television programming and production. LOVEWORLDSAT was the first Christian television station to broadcast from Africa 24/7 on free-to-air channels. Today, there are LoveWorld television stations available across satellite and cable networks across the world.

Christ Embassy has strong presence in Pastor Chris’s homeland of Nigeria, South Africa and Canada. The ministry also runs two Healing Schools located in South Africa, Canada and the US, where Pastor Chris runs sessions throughout the year, in which miracles are possible.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, who is a fervent patron of charity, established the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation Inter (COFI) as a non-profit, nongovernmental charity that is aiming to aid the most vulnerable communities and those living in the most deprived regions of the globe.

Apart from preaching the Gospel message, the Man Of God has also established a number of NGOs that are tasked with providing vital services and hope for the most vulnerable and marginalized people. COFI’s five partners all have the same goal: to raise living standards and enhance the quality of life in the poorest areas.

Oyakhilome COFI’s umbrella includes the InnerCity Mission ICM (ICM) as well as the Volunteer Medical Corps VMC (VMC), Trauma Care International Foundation /TCIF, Future Africa Leaders Foundation and the Bible For All Mission. Each of these organizations strives to enhance the health, life and spirits of the most in need.

His charitable organization also provides financial aid to children who are in poverty.
