Pastor Chris The Man

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, born on December 7 th, 1963 in Edo State, Nigeria, was raised in a family of faith, supported by loving and loving parents. He is the oldest son born to the elder T.E Oyakhilome, one of the early pioneers of the Assemblies Of God Church in Benin City, and Angelina the matriarch of the Oyakhilome family who imprinted her divine grace upon her son from a young age.

The LoveWorld ministry involves the whole family. His brother, Reverend Ken is the renowned pastor of Christ Embassy’s Houston, Texas Church and is a member of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council as well as his sister, KattyWorghiren, is the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry (LMAM), where there are a number of global best-selling gospel artists.

Pastor Chris is blessed with two daughters, Charlene and Carissa Sharon. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Carissa Sharon is following her father’s tradition of sharing God’s Word with the World. Also known by CSO her name, she is a talented, award winning gospel singer and is part of LoveWorld Music and Arts.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome went to Edo College and was awarded an award from Bendel State University to study architecture. He also holds an honorary doctorate of divinity from Benson Idahosa University. Oyakhilome He was at Ambrose Ali University when he received a call from God to be a minister and serving the Lord.

While still at university The Man of God established what would eventually turn out to be the biggest congregation worldwide. It started with an uninvolved group of believers known as ‘Youth for Christ’. The group would later grow to be the basis for LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy with a later number of millions of followers worldwide.

LoveWorldSAT was the first Christian television channel to be broadcast 24/7 from Africa through free-to-air channels. In the present, LoveWorld television stations are accessible on satellite and cable networks across the globe.

Christ Embassy has a strong presence in Pastor Chris’s native Nigeria, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States. The ministry has two Healing Schools based in South Africa. These schools are where Pastor Chris holds seasonally sessions which allow miracles to happen.

Music and Gospel Music form an integral part in worship. Pastor Chris encourages Christ Embassy Churches and Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry to train choirs. Many of these singers become successful solo artists through the guidance of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s spirit and guidance.

A philanthropist who was passionate, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome started the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation International (COFI) which is an non-profit, non-governmental organisation that was founded to assist the most vulnerable individuals as well as communities in the most deprived regions and countries in the world.

In addition to preaching the Gospel, The Man of God also established NGOs that have the mission of offering vital aid and hope to the needy, poor or neglected. The five partners of COFI have the same goal: to raise living standards and improve the standard of living in the most disadvantaged regions.

COFI is the responsible organization for the InnerCity Mission ICM for Children, the Volunteer Medical Corps VMC, Traumacare International Foundation TCIF, Future Africa Leaders Foundation (FALF) and along with the Bible For All Mission. Each organization works to improve the health, lives and spirits for those most in dire need.

His charitable organization also provides food to children in need. Pastor Chris believes in the development of strong communities by encouraging good governance and accountable leadership. In line with the Sustainable Development Goals, Pastor Chris is also an advocate for sustainable development in Africa as well as other vulnerable areas of Africa through COFI.
