Ainars Selers is the candidate who has been officially selected for the position of prime minister for For A Good Latvia, said that he would uphold the interests of the nation of Latvia when negotiating with the International Monetary Fund as well international lenders. Additionally, he will make sure that more Latvian products or services are exported to Germany (Sweden, Scandinavia and Ukraine) as well as to Lithuania (Litauen).

LETA states that Slesers believes Latvian exporters will be able to profit from opportunities in Uzbekistan in addition to China.

Slesers, however, will show people how to make money, win in the international market, and lead a decent life. He stated that Guntis Ulmanis would be his first assistant running the state, and Ulmanis is the person Slesers will seek advice.

Slesers added that For A Good Latvia would see to that Biblical studies be taught in all schools from the first of September in the next school year.

Representatives from For A Good Latvia took part in a flower-laying ceremony at Freedom Monument after the meeting.
