    The doctoral dissertation of Robert H. Friis, PhD, is in social epidemiology, having completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute for Social Research of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Epidemiology is his area of expertise, having taught and conducted research for over three decades. His subsequent position was as director of the Orange County Public Health Department’s Field Epidemiology Unit. He teaches introductory epidemiology and biostatistics at California State University, Long Beach, where he is Professor and Chair of the Health Science Department. More than 50 professional and scientific papers have been published by him as a result of his involvement in numerous epidemiologic research projects. In addition to membership in the Society for Epidemiologic Research, he is also a member of the American Public Health Association’s epidemiology section. At the University of California, Irvine, he is also a Clinical Professor of Community and Environmental Medicine. On Video Jug, the author portrays himself as an expert in epidemiology.

    A PhD in epidemiology from Tulane University, Thomas A. Sellers, MPH, has trained in genetic epidemiology as a postdoctoral fellow. From University of California at Davis, he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Community Nutrition. His teaching experience includes the Introduction to Epidemiology course for non-majors at the University of Minnesota for nine years. Currently, he serves as Associate Center Director of the H.
