    In less than a decade, Technoblade amassed nearly 11 million YouTube subscribers and 3.7 million Twitter followers as he shared his passion for Minecraft, a videogame where gamers can create virtual worlds using blocks and come up with their own storylines. In August 2021, he went public by revealing to his followers that he had been diagnosed with cancer. The news was shared through a video of him playing Minecraft.

    Technoblade’s father claimed that Technoblade sent his final message eight hours before his death. He was crying, but Technoblade’s father described his son as “the most incredible child” anyone could ever ask for, adding: “I miss Technoblade.”

    Technoblade’s father broke the devastating news to subscribers to his channel.

    Technoblade’s family released an announcement that stated that Technoblade was through a lot as he battled stage 4 cancer. The video has been viewed more 19 million times. But he didn’t complain, and kept using his famous strategic thinking skills to fight what he knew were almost impossible odds.     Social media has been flooded with tributes from celebrities, fans and fellow gamers.

    Sarcoma Foundation of America sent an official statement to CNN, paying tribute to Technoblade and offering its condolences to his family.

    Brandi Felser, CEO of the charity, stated in the statement: “Technoblade rallied his supporters to raise more than $500,000 up to date to support the research into sarcoma. This enabled SFA to award research grants in Technoblade’s name. The efforts of Technoblade have left an imprint that will be passed on to future generations.

    Felser said that Technoblade will be honored with the organization’s Courage Award, an annual award given to those who inspire others “to create hope and a better world for the Sarcoma community” in the course of this year.
