Chris Oyakhilome Background

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was the first child of the Oyakhilome family and was born on December 7, 1973, to Tim Oyakhilome. AAU also presented him with an honorary Doctor of Science award. He also holds an honorary Doctor of Science from Benson Idahosa University. The Reverend Chris was once married to Anita Obhodaghe, and they are blessed with two children.

Chris Oyakhilome Ministry

While still studying at AAU Pastor Chris Oyakhilome got involved in the ministry. The Believers’ LoveWorld fellowship was known at the time as Youths For Christ (YFC).

YFC rapidly grew and eventually became the largest college group. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy. Lagos is the home of the church. Believer’s LoveWorld now has millions of associates and followers across the world.

BLW was the most well-known Christian ministry on television across Africa through its”Atmosphere for Miracles” program in 2002. The program was canceled in the month of May 2004 when the president of the time, Nigeria – Olusegun Obasanjo announced that the country’s president had resigned Olusegun Obasanjo announced that churches should not air miracles on television.

The InnerCity Mission for children is a faith-based non-governmental Organisation (NGO). The organization was founded in 2005 with the intention to assist vulnerable, low-income orphaned children around the world.

Children who are homeless are assisted by the foundation through participatory interventions that include family strengthening programmes , as also child development programmes.

Trauma Care International Foundation

The Trauma Care International Foundation was created to enhance the quality of life and overall health of communities and nations by promoting better emergency response services in case of accidents and emergencies. The foundation can accomplish this feat by supporting the national policies relating to trauma and health education.

Over a thousand were given first aid and safety training through the foundation. Their track record indicates that they have been able to train thousands of teachers, students and law enforcement officers as well as caregivers and road transport workers.
