Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born on 7 of the 7 of December 1973, to Mr and Mrs Tim Oyakhilome, as the first son of the family. Following his primary and secondary schooling, he enrolled in Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, Edo State, Nigeria where he obtained a BSc in Architecture.

AAU also awarded him an honorary Doctor of Science award. He also has an honorary doctorate in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. The Reverend Chris was previously married to Anita Obhodaghe. They have two children.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began his ministry when he was an undergraduate student at AAU. The Believers’ LoveWorld Fellowship currently Believers LoveWorld Incorporated, was in the beginning known as Youths For Christ.

YFC grew and was the largest of the fellowships on campus. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy. The church has its headquarters in Lagos. Believer’s LoveWorld is home to millions of associates and followers all over the world.

Through the 2002 environment for miracles programme, BLW rose to prominence as a Christian ministry on TV in Africa. The program was cancelled by President Olusegun Obasanjo in May 2004.
