Pastor, faith healer, TV host, author, Chris Oyakhilome, known by his followers as Pastor Chris, is the president and founder of LoveWorld Incorporated, also called Christ Embassy, which is headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria. His unique and inspiring interpretation of God’s Word has inspired thousands of people across the globe.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a child of faith who was nurtured by a family of faith and supported by his parents. He is the son of the elder of Elder T.E Oyakhilome. Angelina, one of the pioneers at the Assemblies of God’s Church in Benin City, as well as the matriarch of Oyakhilome’s Oyakhilome family, who instilled her faith in God’s grace to her son at a very young age.

The LoveWorld ministry is actively supported by the entire family. His brother Reverend Ken is the renowned pastor of Christ Embassy’s Houston, Texas Church and is a member of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council as well as his sister, KattyWorghiren, is the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry (LMAM), which is home to several world-class gospel artists.

Pastor Chris has two children, Carissa Sharon und Charlene. Carissa Sharon has chosen the route of her father in preaching the Word of God to the world. Also known as CSO She is a gospel singer who has won awards and a member of LoveWorld Music and Arts.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome received his education at Edo College. He then was awarded a scholarship to study architecture in Bendel State University. He also holds an honorary doctorate in divinity from the Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was the location where he was able to feel God calling him to become a minister to the Lord.

The Man of God, while still in university, began what would later become one of the most influential church in the world. A small prayer group named Youth for Christ’ was created. It would grow into one of the largest and most popular institutions at the university. LoveWorld Incorporated would follow millions of people with the founding of Christ Embassy and LoveWorld Incorporated.

Under Pastor Chris’s leadership, LoveWorld became a pioneer of satellite television and Christian programming. Oyakhilome Christ Embassy has strong presences in Pastor Chris’s homeland of Nigeria and also South Africa, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. Two Healing Schools are located in South Africa and Canada. There, Pastor Chris holds seasonal sessions which allow the manifestation of miracles.

Music and Gospel Music play an integral aspect of worship. Pastor Chris is a strong advocate for gospel music. Christ Embassy Churches have a choir that is trained and overseen by the Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry. Many of these singers are successful in their solo career.

The Future African Leaders Foundation, (FALF), is an organization that seeks to continue the inspiring work of Pastor Chris. The goal of the foundation is to celebrate and encourage the remarkable achievements of young, talented leaders. Pastor Chris is investing in the youth of today so they can become tomorrow’s leaders.

Pastor Chris: The Philanthropist

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome who was a committed patron of charity, established the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation Inter (COFI) as an independent, non-profit organization that aims to assist communities in need and those living in the most deprived areas of the world.

The Man of God founded NGOs to offer vital services and hope to the poor, needy and neglected. COFI’s five partners all have a common aim: to raise living standards and improve the quality of life in the most disadvantaged areas.

Under the auspices COFI is COFI’s InnerCity Mission (ICM) for Children as well as the Volunteer Medical Corps (VMC), Trauma Care International Foundation (TCIF), Future Africa Leaders Foundation (FALF), and the Bible For All Mission. Each of these groups strives to improve well-being, health, and spirits, especially those who are most vulnerable.

The charity also provides food to indigent children. Through COFI and The InnerCity Mission, Pastor Chris believes in the importance of establishing strong foundations of community through promoting responsible leadership, good governance and sustainable development in Africa and other vulnerable parts of the globe in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals. It’s simple for Pastor Chris to become an advocate for Christ by having such a broad and effective ministry.
