I have always felt at ease whenever I have a donation drop box near me. I have always gotten my donations there without any hassles and the boxes have always been well organised, neat and carefully packed. In fact, that is the way I have always taken care of the donations I have collected all these years. It wasn’t until I was invited to donate to Habitat for Humanity in Boston that I really started considering going to that place myself.

Being someone who knows a lot about the charities I feel it is my duty to tell them my views on why I don’t want to donate. I decided to do this because when I went to donate to Habitat for Humanity in Boston, I was offered a choice between a hot lunch at one of their six food pantries or a donation bin right at the front door. I asked the representative if they could move the donation bins closer to the entrance so I would not have to keep going to the front of the building to find something to donate. She said they would try to make that possible.

So, I began to look for something to donate. To my amazement, there were an enormous number of used books in every size, colour and brand imaginable. They had them stored in a chute that led straight up to the donation bins. It was unbelievable.

Then, just when I thought that was all there was to donating, I saw another donation container. This time it was a large red and white cabinet that housed all kinds of donated goods – again, everything from clothes to toys to old books. Again, it was unbelievable to see the number of things that were being given away. There were agency at hand. There were only one set of shelves and one chair that was placed in front of the donation machine.

When I entered the donation drop box area, I was quite impressed by the sheer number of books that had been donated. In fact, there were stacks upon stacks of them. All of them neatly folded up and packed up. There were stacks upon stacks of books waiting to be donated.

Then I noticed the books that were in perfect condition. I was even more amazed at the number of books that were barely used. There were some that needed a little reading, but most were gone. agency were the books that I could not get for my own use. This is when I decided that it was time to start my own book donation drop box near me.

I started with the same model of cabinet that I bought for the house. Plain wood, black box that sat on my porch. But as agency went by, I saw a need for a more stylish and more interesting looking box. So I got one in the same color scheme. And this time, it came with some old books that I could refurbish and put into my new book donation drop box near me.

What I found out, is that there is a strong correlation between the location of a book donation drop box near an institution and the number of books that end up being donated. The probability of an individual who donate a certain amount of books to an institution is high. The correlation coefficient between these two factors is high too. The better the location, the higher the odds of that person donating many more books than others. It seems like there must be something that draws people in that make their lives easier.
