NEW YORK – Sept. 8 2022, /PRNewswire/ Today, the Israel Ministry of Tourism has announced record-breaking figures of travelers from the United States who visited Israel in July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States during July 2022 which was an increase of 4% over the year before and 71,000 visitors from the United States during August 2022. That’s a 13% increase over the year before.

Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. “It is thrilling to once again witness an rise in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already reaching the record-breaking numbers of the year 2019,” he stated. “The United States remains our largest market for Israel-bound tourism. Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak, we were celebrating record-breaking tourism numbers each month. We are thrilled to witness this change and are expecting an ongoing upward trend for months, and possibly years.

נווה פריצקי Canada is on track to beat Israel’s tourism arrivals by attracting 7,200 tourists to Israel in the month of July 2022 and 6,600 in August.

“It is thrilling to see how tourism from Canada to Israel is rebounding,” said Gal Hana, Consul and Director for Canada for the Israel Ministry of Tourism. We’re close to reaching our record-setting numbers for the year 2019, and we are anticipating that this growth in travel to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians are more comfortable at ease in Israel.

Israel welcomed more tourists from all over the world during the year 2019 than any other nation. 969 600 were American. Israel’s official reopening for all tourists was in May of 2018. Israel has welcomed more than 600,400 US travelers since then.
