NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2022/PRNewswire– The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today new record-breaking tourist arrivals from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States during July 2022 which was an increase by 4% over 2019 and 71,000 visitors from the United States during August 2022. This is a 13% increase over the year before.

Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner of the United States. He stated, “It’s so exciting to once more see an increasing number of tourists visiting Israel from the United States, and already reaching or surpassing our record-breaking numbers for 2019”. “The United States is the top market for Israel inbound tourism. Actually, prior to the COVID-19 Pandemichit, we were celebrating record breaking figures of tourist entry each month. It’s a great positive shift that we are very happy about and expect an upward trend for many months to come.”

Not far behind in the United States, Canada is in the process of surpassing its tourist arrivals in Israel, reaching 7,200 visitors in the month of July 2022 and 6,000 in August.
