NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire– The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking tourism arrivals from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. 78,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This represents a 4 percentage increase over 2019 and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% more than the number of visitors in 2019.

Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) declared that it was thrilling to witness a rise in Israeli tourism from the United States. Already surpassing the record-breaking numbers of 2019, he said. “The United States remains our largest market for Israel-bound tourism. Before the COVID-19 epidemic, we were celebrating record-breaking tourist entry numbers every month. We are thrilled to see this positive shift and expect an upward trend that will continue for months, and possibly years.

Canada is home to 7200 tourists visiting the country in July 2022, and 6,000 in August is not much from the United States.

“It is so exciting to see how the Canadian tourism to Israel is growing,” said Gal Hana Consul and Director of Canada for the Israel Ministry of Tourism. “We are not too far away from our record 2019 numbers, and we are anticipating that this growth in travel to Israel will further increase as Canadians continue to feel more at ease travelling abroad.”

Israel received more tourists from all over the world during the year 2019 than any other nation. 969 600 of these were American. Israel’s official reopening to all travelers was May 2018. The country has received more than 600,400 US travelers since then.
