NEW YORK – Sept. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/- Today the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record-breaking numbers of visitors from the United States who visited Israel in the months of July and August. נווה פריצקי Israel welcomed 78,000 total travelers from the United States in July 2022 that’s a 4 percent increase from the year before, and 71,000 total travelers from the United States in August 2022 which is an increase of 13% from 2019.

Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) said it was exciting to see an increase in tourism to Israel coming from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking figures for 2019, he said. “The United States is our number one market for inbound tourism for Israel. Before the COVID-19 epidemic, we saw record-breaking numbers of Israeli tourists entering Israel every month. We are extremely happy to have witnessed this positive change and expect this trend to last for a long time.”

Canada is poised to surpass Israel’s arrivals in tourist numbers 7200 tourists are expected to visit Israel in July 2022, and 6,600 tourists in August.

“It is so exciting to see how the Canadian tourism to Israel is growing,” said Gal Hana, Consul and Director for Canada for the Israel Ministry of Tourism. “We are not too far away from our record for 2019, and we anticipate that the rise in travel to Israel will continue to increase because Canadians are more comfortable traveling across the globe.”

In the year 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million international tourists, 969,600 of them coming from the United States, and since its official reopening to everyone regardless of their vaccination status in May of this year, the country has already seen over 600,400 US travelers.
