The Kerem Tunnel provides a unique adventure in hiking and riding which is loved by everyone.

The Kerem Tunnel, the first cycle tunnel in Israel, has been inaugurated as part of the Jerusalem Ring Path, a 42-kilometer cycle path that runs around the capital city.

It connects Nahal Refaim to Emek Motza. The southern entrance is in Refaim Park under Ein Laban. The northern entrance, Nahal Ein Kerem, is about half a kilometer away from the Kerem junction.

The opening ceremony of the tunnel that is 2.1 kilometers long, was held in Jerusalem and the Heritage Minister Ze’ev Elkin, Mayor Moshelion and Avi Baleshnikov (Gihon water company chairman of the company) along with hundreds of cyclists.

Elkin’s Ministry Tourism Ministry, Jerusalem Municipality and Gihon Corporation contributed approximately NIS 25 million for the project. The project was executed by the Jerusalem Development Authority.
